Ongo Celebrate Investors in People Gold for Second Time
Affordable housing provider Ongo achieve Investors in People Gold for the second time, following an assessment with IIP North of England delivered by IDG.
North Lincolnshire based affordable housing and community organisation, Ongo, is celebrating after achieving the prestigious Investors in People Gold accreditation for the second time.
Investors in People (IIP) is an internationally recognised accreditation that helps organisations to lead, support and manage people well for sustainable results.
Undertaking the latest and more stretching version of the Standard, Ongo's assessment focused on nine key areas including leading and inspiring people, values, managing performance, structuring work, reward and recognition, building capability and more.
Mo Mathieson, Organisational Development Manager, said:
“We’re all so pleased that Ongo achieved Gold, it’s something that all the staff here should be extremely proud of. As the criteria’s changed so much since we were assessed last time making it much harder to achieve Gold it shows how far we’ve come in the last 3 years.
“The assessor was very complementary of the work we do to invest in our staff, including our management training programmes, how well embedded our values are and how the staff truly live them, and how polite and friendly all the staff were.
“Investors in People is a brilliant opportunity to look at what we’ve done well as an organisation for our staff and how we can improve further to become an even better place to work.”
Steve Burrows, Managing Director of Investors in People North of England delivered by IDG, said:
“This is a fantastic achievement for Ongo and I would like to congratulate all of the team. We believe that your people make the difference and by investing in them you are looking to create sustainable success.
“IIP is designed to help organisations and their people to realise potential, providing a simple road map for excellence. With their second Gold accreditation success, Ongo is certainly working to realise their people potential.”
Congratulations to all the team!
