Giving Business Growth a Boost. IDG Launch New Funded Executive Development Programme for Greater Manchester

Organisation and people development specialists IDG have launched a new fully funded Executive Leadership Programme to help Greater Manchester leaders boost their skills and capabilities.

Fully funded by European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Business Growth Hub, the new Executive Development Programme has been designed to support ambitious business leaders in Greater Manchester to realise their growth potential.

“We live and work in a fast-paced environment and to compete, we need to be as responsive, productive and innovative as possible,” explains Alex Elmywood, Commercial Director at IDG.

“So to succeed, you really need the right leadership skills and capabilities to bring out the best in your team. That’s why we developed our leadership programme and I am delighted that we have secured funding for businesses in the Greater Manchester area to take part.”

Delivered by IDG’s experienced coaches and starting in early 2018, participants on the programme will explore leadership skills, confidence and capabilities and how they can be developed to support business growth objectives.

But it won’t take the route of many traditional leadership training courses.

“Our programme takes a different approach to many traditional leadership training activities as it focuses on areas such as psychological change, workplace wellbeing and how to develop coaching cultures,” says Alex.

“These are the leadership trends and practices that are gaining significant momentum and results in today’s workplace and we are eager to share them as part of the programme.”

Eligible businesses can join with no financial input, just a commitment to creating at least one job and an increase in turnover or sales on the back of the development.

But places are limited so interested enterprises are urged to get in touch with IDG as soon as possible to discuss the programme, eligibility and to secure their place.

“We’re really excited to help our participants build their leadership skills and understanding so they can take this learning back to their workplace and make a positive difference,” adds Alex.

“It’s giving leaders and in turn their teams the opportunity to develop and go for growth. We can’t wait to get started.”
