IiP Launches New Delivery Arrangements

Investors in People

Employers working with Investors in People can look forward to more choice and flexibility than ever before, thanks to a new network of delivery partners launched on 1st April 2011 – and with a proven track record of successfully delivering the Investors in People framework over the last 10 years idg will play a key role, securing the license to deliver across the North of England.

The new network was welcomed by John Hayes, Minister of State for Further Education, Skills and Lifelong Learning, who said:

“I am enormously encouraged that, even in these difficult times, so many British companies understand that their responsibilities to their people and their communities go hand in hand with their responsibilities to their shareholders to make a profit.

“Investors in People has, and will continue to, play a key role in inspiring and enabling companies to adopt this ethos and transform their approach. Thanks to the new network of expert delivery centres, it will now be easier than ever before for employers in England to work with Investors in People to boost their business.”

As the Investors in People Centre for the North East, North West and Yorkshire and Humber, idg is looking forward to the opportunity of working with local businesses across the region, offering a comprehensive range of support services to help them improve, develop and grow.

Steve Burrows, Managing Director at idg said:

“Retaining the Investors in People licence for our existing territory in the North West and Yorkshire and Humber, whilst at the same time extending our coverage into the North East, against some strong competition, is a key achievement for us. It reinforces our position as leaders in our field underpinned by a strong and consistent performance over recent years.

As organisational development specialists, idg helps organisations focus on the development of people, increasing resilience, engagement and the potential to adapt positively to change. In addition to Investors in People, idg offers advice and support for a number of national and international standards including Customer Service Excellence, LexcelCarbon Action and ISO 9001.

This is a significant opportunity for idg, fully aligned with our commitment to supporting organisational improvement in the region, as well as placing us at the heart of the UK Skills and high performance working agendas. At idg we are in a great position to continue the work we do to help organisations and their people improve, develop and grow – raising employer ambitions and aspirations.’’
